A good guy with a gun shot and killed an attacker at an Alabama mall “within seconds” of that attacker shooting and wounding two people.

WVTM reports that the good guy, a Hoover, Alabama, police officer, shot the gunman, who was then pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred at Riverchase Galleria.

Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis said, “From the time that shooting took place, they engaged and it was safe within seconds that it happened. You don’t see that too often. So very, very proud of that.”

Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato said, “Unfortunately, an individual lost his life. Unfortunately, one of our police officers had to engage that individual. He did so as a professional. He did so at the risk of his own life. But he stepped in to protect thousands, and I’m grateful for that.”

WBRC reports that the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Thanksgiving night. That 21-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford, Jr., who is now deceased, shot an 18-year-old twice following a physical confrontation.

Bradford also shot a 12-year-old girl. The 18-year-old is in serious condition and WBRC indicates the female is “alert” and “talking.”

How many would have been wounded or killed if this guy had not been there? A definite need for legally armed responsible people.

Good people with a gun save many lives a year, but you never hear about it on the fake news media.

This can’t be so because there’s no such thing as “good guys with guns,” just ask any brainless liberal.

According to idiot liberals, there is no such thing as “good guys” with guns, so this can’t be true. 🙂

THIS is why the “good guys” must arm themselves so the “bad guys” will think twice before yanking out a pistola, knowing that the good guys out-number the bad guys.

This will help contain the bad guys from turning a situation from bad to worse. Shoot them dead in their tracks. One less scumbag we need to clothe and feed in prison on the taxpayer’s dollar.

My prayers go out to the young boy and the young girl who were seriously wounded. Good guys, one; bad guys, None. Nice. I wish we will see more of this heroism all around our great country. My hat goes off to the courageous police officer who risked his life to save the lives of many.

This story should be the norm and not an unusual story.

Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato said, “Unfortunately, an individual lost his life.” No. What’s unfortunate is that individual became a potential murderer with no regard for human life. He paid the price for his actions, and he would have shot more people had an officer not been there. No sympathy for the “killer wanna be”.

God bless the Officer. I’m all for “the right to carry” because people aren’t usually
lucky enough to have an Office right when the shooting starts.

Why does the Mayor say it was “unfortunate” that an off duty Police Officer had to kill the “unfortunate” shooter/killer?

The only unfortunate thing was 2 young people being shot. The rest was good!

Sounds like some gangsta kind of confrontation, that ‘physical confrontation’ thing. Good thing the cop or anyone licensed to carry was there.
