President Donald Trump announced in a speech on Thursday that his administration would no longer fight the court battle over a citizenship question in the census, but would seek that information through other sources.

The citizenship question in the census was deemed “racist” by many on the left who said that it would discourage Hispanics from filling out their census questionnaire, and undermine their representation in Congress.

Instead of seeking to count citizens on the census, the president announced that he would issue an executive order to help the administration find the information on non-citizens through other methods.

“I’m hereby ordering every department and agency in the federal government to provide the Department of Commerce with all requested records regarding the number of citizens and non-citizens in our country,” the president said.

“We will utilize these vast federal databases to gain a full, complete, and accurate count of the non-citizen population,” he explained.

On July 3, the Department of Justice appeared to give up the fight over the question, but the president then tweeted that his administration would keep pursuing the inclusion of the question.

Another report indicated that the president was planning on forcing the issue by issuing an executive order to keep the question on the census. Some critics said this would spark a constitutional crisis.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Monday pressed the narrative that the question was motivated by racism.

“This is about keeping — you know his hat — make America white again,” Pelosi said.

“They want to make sure that people, certain people, are counted. It’s really disgraceful. And it’s not what our founders had in mind,” Pelosi added.

“What they want to do is put a chilling effect so certain populations will not answer the form,” she concluded.

Such an incredibly stupid issue, most countries ask that question on theirs. What the fuck is wrong with it? I’m damned tired of the spics trying to take over this country, which they literally are.

No, what our founding Fathers wanted was for those who legally owned land and paid taxes to have a voice not leeches.
