Former CIA Director John Brennan seemed to promise a lawsuit Sunday after President Donald Trump revoked his security clearance for “erratic conduct and behavior.”

Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, welcomed Brennan’s threat.

“I have been contacted by a number of lawyers, and they have already given me their thoughts about the basis for a complaint, an injunction to try to prevent him from doing this in the future,” Brennan told Chuck Todd Sunday on MSNBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“I am going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future,” he added. “And if it means going to court, I will do that.”

Brennan has previously indicated that he is considering legal action.

Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo shortly after Brennan’s interview, Giuliani said he relished the opportunity to question the former CIA director under oath.

“We’ll take his deposition right away,” Giuliani said. “As the plaintiff he’d have to go first. I’d volunteer to do that case for the president. I’d love to have Brennan under oath for I don’t know how many days — two, three days? We’ll find out about Brennan.”

Giuliani went on to suggest that he would question Brennan about alleged intelligence failures that took place under his leadership, including the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, a terror attack which killed 19 U.S. servicemen while he was CIA station chief in Riyadh. He also alluded to Brennan’s 1976 vote for the Communist Party USA’s presidential candidate, Gus Hall.

In a 1988 case called Department of the Navy v. Egan, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal courts do not have jurisdiction to hear substantive challenges to the revocation of a security clearance. However, national security commentators have noted that federal courts occasionally use an exception to Egan — which permits challenges to procedures respecting personnel decisions — to review clearance determinations.

No government employee should continue to have a security clearance when they leave the job.

I hope the John Brennan commie bastard goes prison for a very long time. He thinks he is above the law just like the rest of Obama’s self-important over-privileged dirt bag cabinet members. The President has every right to revocatw Brennans security clearance. I hope Mr Trump revokes a lot more.

Brennan breaks silence? . He hasn’t shut up since Trump pulled it. He can scream and threaten law suits, one of our freedoms under the constitution, winning is another thing! Like Peter Strzok, lookout for Johns go find me page.. Bottom line is, Brennan strangle hold on the deep state is being exposed and Trump shut off the leaks. Now if anyone in the Intel area passes info to Brennan they’re violating the espionage act. Remember, the orchestrator of the multi agency election corruption was John Brennan at the behest of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The house of cards are beginning to crumble, and the evidence is glaring at Clinton, Obama and their legions of corrupt subordinates! I find it hysterical after his unhinged remarks that highlighted his emotional and irrational vitriol towards the POTUS, his security clearance has been revoked. Hey JOHN don’t look now the entire country is onto you and most are not willing to cover for you any longer. Trust me, your security clearance is the least of your problems. Your political allies can’t help you with this administration, so don’t be upset when you’re indicted, tried and convicted!

I agree completely …..no government employee should continue to have security clearance when they are finished with their job….It doesn’t happen in the private sector so why in the Government..?

Agree 100%, especially now, Brennan is a Muslim, a Communist, a poor CIA employee and a very nasty man. He does not need or require Clearances to pursue a job in the real world. He is no longer an employee of any INTELLIGENCE SERVICE at least in the USA. Others need to have their clearances revoked too. Many others who spy for the Media and perhaps other countries. Who knows? Who trusts the Obama regime?

John Brennan’s vote for the President of the Communist Party USA means that he had to be a member of the Communist Party USA, in order to vote.

I occasionally look at the propaganda in the Communist Party USA. I am not a party member, but I do like to see what our enemies are saying.

  7. Pete

    August 20, 2018 at 1:31 am

Brennan’s a traitor to this country just as Obama or anyone else who is actively trying to unseat the POTUS. Especially with his history of wild conspiracies and voting for a communist. He can’t be trusted with a security clearance.

There is NO valid reason for any EX-govt employee to have security clearance of any kind, and I include the Clintons, even past presidents. If advice is needed, a temporary clearance could be granted, but such as Brennan use the “perk” to line their own pockets and spout off on their partisan biases. That should be outlawed.

“Brennan breaks silence”? What silence, he has been crying from the start. That irresponsible child has made his KARMA and he wants to blame everyone but himself. Someone that immature does not need “clearance”… he needs his terrorist butt kicked twice a day… something his daddy did not do… if he even know who his daddy was, probably his brother:) We KNOW 70% of muslims are inbred, he certainly acts like it.

If I am fired from my Call Center job, regarding Health Insurance, I will NEVER be allowed to come and go as I please into this center….

If someone’s job at the WHite House is finished, never mind WHY, but HOW IS IT? that they still have security clearance into our National Security house of the POTUS and family….

Besides, I also do not understand that those people are badmouthing and practically hating the ones who “lived” there. I would not allow that to happen in my house – would you?

Especially if said employee has proven to practice deceitfully against company employed at. Brennan and your defenders stop whining w/ unrealistic excuses like it’s unconstitutional. Really? “Unconstitutional? Which section or Amendment is contravened by the head of the Executive Branch making a personnel decision entirely within his purview? Take your time.” Thanks

  24. Donna Harris

Brennan is “Deep State”…… taking away his Security Clearance was done for a reason. He is using his Clearance to secure information which he them uses to bolster his job with CNN. If there is anyone on this earth guilty of treason, it is the crowd that President Trump is seeking to have their Security Clearances evoked. Brennan is evil to the core.

  25. Bart-Jan Mathot

    August 20, 2018 at 3:22 am

John Brennan states that these are frightening times, yet he is part and parcel to the cause of it for blabbering and running his mouth. If The Trump team find possibilities to act on further remarks of Mr. Brennan that are nefarious or erogenous and deformation of character, I would welcome the idea that he might suffer the consequences, possibly being charged with treasonous behavior.

  26. yogiman

    August 20, 2018 at 3:23 am

What makes him so special? Security clearance was issued to him for his job. It was taken from because he isn’t in that job now.

  27. LuCi Bennett

    August 20, 2018 at 3:23 am

#1. Brennan is no longer an employee. As with any other corporation, you lose your credentials. Why should anyone maintain clearance if that is not their position any longer? If he is required to appear in the future, then give him a temporary pass. #2. The law states that if an individual is possibly attempting to overthrow the Government, then they can lose clearance. Really telling that Bannan changed his tune after his clearance was revoked. This was NOT “political” & your parents being immigrants has nothing to do with your being dismissed from your position. I agree with our President that the others involved in this endless investigation should lose clearance due to abuse of power. THAT was treasonous!

  28. Annabel

    August 20, 2018 at 3:24 am

Indeed! In the corporate world (and any other) when you leave, you DO NOT TAKE THE PERKS WITH YOU.
Which part of this does baby dum, dum Brennan not understand? Is he that stupid? I want to see him
prosecuted for not doing his job and also for being an enemy of this country. He is a Communist, a Wahhabi Muslim and Obama deliberately planted him in the CIA to destroy this country. Btw Obama…you are next…we are not done with you. Not by a long shot!

  29. Rebecca Holstine

    August 20, 2018 at 3:41 am

“Legal action,” I’ll bet that has Trump shaking in his boots. Stupid dumbass Brennan is such crybaby loser who obviously cannot be trusted. Why isn’t it law that any and all federal employees automatically lose their security clearance upon losing their employment for any reason, retirement, termination, resignation, whatever reason. It ought to, and needs to be a law. Any former employee does not need their clearance any longer, period.Too many disgruntled idiots out there these days. It is a matter of national security.

  34. Larry Rhodes

    August 20, 2018 at 4:36 am

I love our President Trump is doing. Washington and Lincoln were great at their time and circumstance. President Nixon saw what President Trump is seeing. Unfortunately for President Nixon, he did not have the wisdom from Public Sector. This is due to politicians are barely attorneys and then join the assisted living community.
President Trump is patient. Pres. Trump awaits everyone on the other side to start their tactical battles with the expectation to win the war.
But let’s examine the evidence, every retraction they have tried, like in a chess game, the poens are eaten, the higher peace’s get facts thrown at them, confuses, exposes, creates lack of trust in them and among them and opens to criminal prosecution. Very clever and not just because of private sector but as the fact that assisted living is not a requirement and ability to set up individual teams to study, unearthing and exposing the REAL facts as the liberal launch their FAKE information with the objective to detract from real facts!
Did you all expect the names that are popping up why facts to back up the turn around. Do you see how the opposition exposes facts but leaves a path to them as the authors
Let’s get excited and join President Trump in every step, support these steps and be a loud voice when the oposion battles are lost
Hurray for citizens and patriotism of America! Let’s slowly turn this oil tanker around!!

What a moron. When you leave a company or get fired, you don’t get to keep your parking spot, entrance card or the keys to the file cabinet. What makes these idiots think they have the same rights when they no longer work there? If, like some say, it’s for info to others who ask, let them do it from memory. No one has the right to keep all their privileges when their gone. Why does nobody get this?

There was a discussion on the BBC about this the other night. Everyone criticised Trump for being vindictive and petty. What pisses me off is there is no way to respond to these distortions of the truth. The BBC doesn’t have a place where people like me can try to counter the lies. This is very bad for the UK because we do not have a single right of centre media outlet. At least for all its faults you have Fox. All we have is Breitbart and most of the British public have never even heard of it.

The way I see it,is George Sorros, Comey, Obama, Strozk, Brennan, Rosenstein, Mueller, Lois Lerner, Hillary & Bill & a cast of many others including the left wing fake news are all in this big cabal of treason against our President, so I think that they all know if they don’t hang together they will hang separately , if you get my meaning! This is why this fake Russian collusion will never end, unless we get a real Attorney General to stop it, because once the investigation stops, everything bit of damning evidence they have discovered will be turned back upon them & a huge light will be turned on their own corruption & collusion!

These guys do not live in the real world! Trump is acting exactly like a CEO of a company, because that is what he is! Trump is not a politician, so he doesn’t work as a politician. In the real world, where DT came from and worked in, you remove all security clearances and entrance badges to any employee that is no longer working for the company! That just makes sense! Whether they are fired, laid off, quit, end of contract. Doesn’t matter. You no longer need this clearance.
