Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that nobody in America would be “heartbroken” at the prospect of losing their private health insurance. The freshman congresswoman reportedly made the comment while dismissing concerns over implementing the single-payer system she supports.

According to Bloomberg reporter Sahil Kapur, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s recent warnings over adopting Medicare for All, a plan that she and 2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) endorse.

After declaring that nobody would be “heartbroken” at the notion of losing their private plans, she acknowledged, “People like their health care, they like their doctor. But I’d be interested in what the public polling on Aetna would look like.”

Kapur added, “Put another way, the @BernieSanders @AOC argument is that switching from private insurance doesn’t equal losing your doctor or hospital because Medicare for All would allow everyone to see their provider of choice.”

According to Fox News, Sen. Sanders announced this week that his Medicare for All proposal could cost as much as $40 trillion over a 10-year span. Sanders told CNN last month that he believes Americans “would be delighted to pay more in taxes, if they had comprehensive healthcare as a human right.”

CNN reported that a Gallup Poll from last year showed “85 percent of people who used private insurance said the quality of their health care was ‘excellent’ or ‘good,’ versus 79 percent of people on Medicare or Medicaid.” The numbers indicate that Americans tend to like their coverage, whether on a government or private plan.

However, data shows Americans are not interested in doing away with the private health insurance market. A January poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation showed that support for Medicare for All dropped to 37 percent when respondents were informed that the plan would eliminate private health insurance companies.

Keep your damn hands off my health insurance!Obama caused our insurance to go up 30% with a high deductible. When I had to take care of my mother before she died I saw what she went through and how much it cost her with Medicare. I don’t want the federal government putting their hands on my insurance again. Democrats can shove it where the sun don’t shine.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is a bar tender and we know she must have been sneaking samples of the alcohol. So let me suggest we the People withhold her Congressional Health Insurance. And see how the dirty Communist likes it. Until 2010 I had health coverage but Obama screwed us over and i owe medical.expenses of $15,000.00 because I lost my coverage and Obamacare cut what medicines I could take and doubled my Medicine Cost so Obama can shove his monstrosity Obama Care up his hind quarter sideways.

Wealth is relative, if you factor in the trillions of dollars in debt the country carries. The socialists of this country want to go after those who have made their wealth through hard work and business savvy. Socialism equals jealousy. They want what other people worked for but they don’t want to work for it themselves. Pretty soon you run out of other people’s money in a socialist society. Then we have Venezuela.

You are welcome to move to anywhere in the world you choose. As my old Mom would have said “Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says ‘Nobody Is ‘Heartbroken’ At The Prospect Of Losing Their Private Health Insurance’ but who does she speak for when she says ‘nobody?’ At the last Democrat Presidential Debate the moderator asked how many of the politicians there would be willing to give up their health insurance and have medicare instead? Only 2 of the politicians raised their hands!
So, Ms. Cortez you should pay attention because you don’t even represent your fellow Democrats let alone the rest of us!

AOC’s statement is entirely false. Worse, it could not possibly be true. She is clearly not qualified to serve in office.
