Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and her counterparts in the mainstream media uncovered their toxic symbiotic relationship like never before when the senator released a report on her DNA results Monday, revealing her claims to Cherokee heritage were bogus.

“The report states that Warren could be just 1/1024th Native American. What’s more, the study was based not on Native American DNA, but on Mexican, Peruvian, and Colombian DNA.”

The media, of course, ran interference for Warren, framing the possibility that the Democrat having Native ancestry as far back as 6-10 generations as somehow in alignment with her past claims and not a massive sham.

While the media worked overtime to spin the Warren self-own, the Cherokee Nation issued a statement deflating such an effort, labeling the test “useless” and “inappropriate.”

“A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship,” said Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin, Jr. in the statement. “Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation.”

Hoskin added, “Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is prove.”

“Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage,” the statement concludes.

Other Cherokee members and Native Americans in the past have blasted Warren for making the dubious claim to such ancestry, too.

In 2016, for example, Cherokee genealogist Twila Barnes said there was no evidence for Warren’s alleged Native heritage (though Warren did offensively cite having high cheekbones and her “Pow Wow Chow” recipe book as evidence in the past). The Washington Times reports:

Ms. Barnes, who said her research into Ms. Warren’s family found “no evidence” of Native American ancestry, has challenged key elements of the senator’s tale of how her parents, Pauline Reed and Donald Herring, defied his parents by running off to marry.

“The problem with Warren’s story is that none of the evidence supports it,” said Ms. Barnes in a 2016 post on her Thoughts from Polly’s Granddaughter blog. “Her genealogy shows no indication of Cherokee ancestry. Her parents’ wedding doesn’t resemble an elopement. And additional evidence doesn’t show any indication of her Herring grandparents being Indian haters.”

Moreover, as noted by Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavadra, “A 2012 report from The Atlantic noted that Warren was not a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, was not enrolled in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and was not one of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee, ‘Nor could she become one, even if she wanted to.'”

And the criticism for Warren only heated up on Monday. A Cherokee Nation member and Ethnic Studies professor at Brown University, Dr. Adrienne Keene, called out the senator for denying that her apparently falsified ethnic claims helped her to advance at Harvard University.

“My tribal citizenship was a factor in my hiring. As it should be,” said Keene, according to National Review. “I represent my nation & Native ppls in this space & we wouldn’t have a voice otherwise. But I’m also a great teacher.”

A professor of Indigenous Studies at the University of Alberta, Kim TallBear, similarly slammed the Democrat.

“She continues to defend her ancestry claims as important despite her historical record of refusing to meet with Cherokee Nation community members who challenge her claims,” she said. “This shows that she focuses on and actually privileges DNA company definitions in this debate, which are ultimately settler-colonial definitions of who is Indigenous.”

Other Native Americans took to Twitter to voice their concerns over Warren’s claims and her highly-touted DNA test (H/t National Review):

https://twitter.com/serena_graves/status/1051874857858650112?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Suffice to say, things probably aren’t going as Warren expected, even with the fulltime help of the mainstream media.

I had the same stories about my family and a native American connection so I researched it. A Sioux suggested that my Great great great grandmother might be connected to the Santee Sioux tribe due to that being her last name. Nope. Another friend who was in the Choctaw Tribe suggested that some of my family customs sounded like his tribe. I researched but that was another dead end. I checked into the Tribal Roles and I did see a cousin there but she was there because of her mother and her mother was not my blood. So for all my research and efforts, the connection was not there for my family. I am Scot, Irish, Welsh, English, German, Austrian, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and both Jewish who fled to Wales and the Muslim invaders in Spain.

I am cool with that and I love finding accounts of their adventures. We can’t all be Native Americans but I was born here which makes me native born. And I have located some really awesome family in my search!!

Just another DEMOC-RAT CON ARTIST. Could it be that because of her fraudulent application TO GET INTO Harvard, WARREN kept a legitimate
member of the Native American to enter Harvard. This woman is a FRAUD AND S[HE SHOULD RESIGN FROM THE U.S. SENATE, IN FACT, I demand that she RESIGN!

Steve, she wasn’t just trying to get into Harvard, she was applying for a teaching position at Harvard at a time when Harvard was under scrutiny for not hiring enough minorities. She put on her resume that she was of Native American ancestry and was hired at $350,000/year to teach ONE course. That, of course, took a slot that should have been filled with a real Native American.

Even “indigenous” are not “indigenous”. They all came from somewhere else in the long lost history of human migration.

What I like about this article is all the “indigenous” commenters saying that being accepted as “indigenous” is about culture (language, customs, responsibilities, religious and other beliefs) and NOT about proving blood lineage. They may be hoping that they are thereby “proving” that only accepted members of tribes are indigenous and that the tribes are the ones who make up the rules. That will eventually backfire on them. I am a native born citizen of the USA. I was born in Ohio. Therefore, I am INDIGENOUS ! But, every “indigenous” tribe in the USA would laugh me off their reservations if I tried to gain official acceptance into their cliques.

Warren is trying to have her cake and eat it too!

I think she should make restitution plus interest for the reduced tuition she benefited for her false claim.

Makes you wonder what else she lied about. Maybe a FBI background check is warranted.

Wouldn’t having a ‘North American’ indigenous gene,
from an ancestor, somewhere in the long past,
    also be representative of maybe
    an Asian heritage instead –
because the original N Americans migrated from Asia!!!!

Up to ten generations ago…?!?!? Ya-know, that means her “American Indian ancestor” lived about the time Europeans were first invading North America. Could be her “American Indian ancestor” REALLY WAS Pocahontas…ya-think…?!?!? LOL 🙂 🙂 🙂 😉

Well, for goodness sake, using her high cheekbones and her “Pow Wow Chow” recipe book as evidence in the past, just leaves no doubt of her ancestry/heritage. As a top lunatic member of the Leftist Lying Club, who could ever doubt her claims. (SMH) This scam she promotes is officially coming apart, and now she has taken on the entire Cherokee nation. I personally don’t think she is actually a member of any human race.

With her claim to Injun roots demolished, one wonders if this truly white woman may find success with seminal ties to Andrew Jackson, the renowned architect of the “Cherokee Trail of Tears;” their efforts to weaken Tribal coherence being identical.

But then is she really off base? Today one can choose their sexual identification on a whim, ignoring the physical evidence, all to the determent of humanity.

Thank you demented Democrats, and your insane cohorts!

Anyone else notice the huge amount of money the Dems are pouring into “negative” campaigning against their Republican counterparts? The mudslinging lies are almost unbearable. As far as Lizzie Warren is concerned, I think she partook of the Loco Weed, and it permanently damaged her brain.

Also… DNA ancestry tests are in large part, a sham. My husband took one which determined he was anything and everything BUT Italian, even though three of his grandparents were 100% Italian and born in Italy.. of Italian parents. They DID however, determine him to be of German/Austrian/E.European ancestry. We have concluded that 23&me reached their determination based upon his last name, which is very obviously German, and overlooked the fact that he was adopted (his birth certificate bears his unused Italian last name). Amazingly, his half-sister, with a similar mix of ancestry but somewhat less Italian in her background, did show as having almost half Italian bloodlines…. She does use their Italian last name. Conclusive? I think so.

“Pocahontas” is a fake. A fraud. She’s bilked the system for her own personal gain. She has been uncovered. Now she is trying…….very feebly, I might add, to save face and keep the sham going. She is desperate to keep her political aspirations alive, and the MONEY FLOWING. She is the epitome of what is wrong in America today. LIARS, CHEATS, POWER HUNGRY and THIEVES. Ask yourself: What GOOD has she done for America?
